ABSTRACT
How to apply AI to assist student learning tasks such as extended problem solving and literature review is explored. First, a quick overview of the tools: Large Language Models, vector databases, and programmatic construction of agents. Next, the talk will cover an example of using the tools to support working through a higher-order thinking question. Finally, the talk will demonstrate ongoing work to use AI for assistance with scientific literature review.
